What we store, and only if you ask
Instead of cookies, two small values may be saved in your browser’s local storage. They are created only when you act, never on arrival, are never sent to us or anyone else, and contain no personal data.
| Name | Purpose | Created when | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| tl-theme | Remembers light or dark theme | You press the theme button | Until you clear it |
| tl-lang | Remembers your language choice | You pick a language or dismiss the language suggestion | Until you clear it |
Why no consent banner
EU and Italian rules (art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Garante’s cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021) require consent only for storage that is not strictly necessary. Remembering a setting you explicitly chose is strictly necessary to provide that feature, so no consent is required. If we ever add anything that does require consent, we will ask first, with an equally easy “reject” option, and update this page.
Third-party sites
GitHub, Discord and other sites we link to may set their own cookies once you visit them. Their cookie policies apply there, not ours.
How to remove it
Use the button below, or clear this site’s data from your browser settings. The site works exactly the same without these values; it just forgets your theme and language choice.
